Overview
We dispatch Ube powder from our UK warehouse to addresses in the UK (and internationally where indicated on product pages). This policy explains processing times, delivery options, costs, tracking, how we pack food products safely, cancellations, returns and your statutory rights.
Processing & dispatch times

Orders placed before 14:00 (UK time) on a working day are usually processed the same day; orders received after 14:00, on weekends or on bank holidays will be processed on the next working day.

Typical dispatch times: 1–2 working days for standard in-UK orders (unless a product page shows a different lead time).

If an order will take longer than quoted we will notify you by email with a revised dispatch date.
Delivery options & estimated transit times
We offer the following options at checkout (prices, carriers and options may change — the checkout will display current options):

Standard (untracked / tracked option available) — estimated 2–4 working days after dispatch.

Tracked / Signed For — estimated 1–3 working days after dispatch.

Next-day (where available) — orders must be placed before the checkout cutoff shown for next-day delivery.
Delivery times are estimates and begin from the date of dispatch. Deliveries may be delayed by carrier issues, strikes, extreme weather, or public holidays. We are not responsible for carrier delays beyond our control.
Shipping costs
Shipping charges are shown at checkout before you pay. We may run promotions that include free shipping for qualifying orders — any such offers will be displayed on the site and in the basket.
Pre-Contact Information
Before placing an order, we provide all required information — including total price (with VAT), any delivery charges, product specifications, and estimated dispatch/delivery times — so you can make an informed decision.
Packaging & safe delivery of food

Our ube powder is packed to protect product integrity during transit (sealed food-grade pouches inside protective outer packaging).

You will receive storage and usage guidance on the label (e.g., “store in a cool, dry place; once opened keep in an airtight container”). We do not ship products that are beyond their best-before date.

We register and operate as a food business and follow Food Standards Agency guidance for food sold for delivery.
Labelling, weight & allergen information

Each 250 g pouch shows the net quantity (250 g), batch code, a clear ingredient list and any allergen declarations required by UK law. This meets the Food Information Regulations / FSA labelling rules for prepacked food.

We clearly list allergens on the product page and on the physical label; if you have severe allergies we strongly advise you to check the label and contact us before ordering. We follow FSA allergen guidance for distance selling.

It is not the company's responsibility if an allergic reaction occurs. This responsibility is left to the consumer's control.
International shipping & customs

If you order from outside the UK, import rules, duties, taxes and customs clearance are the buyer’s responsibility. Delivery times may be longer due to customs processing.

We will declare the goods accurately on customs paperwork; any additional charges levied by customs or local authorities are payable by the recipient.
Lost, damaged or incorrect items

Inspect your delivery on arrival. If items are lost in transit, damaged or incorrect, email us at hello@ubeba.co.uk within 14 days of delivery with photos and your order number and we will investigate and arrange a replacement or refund as appropriate.

For parcel tracking situations, we will liaise with the carrier; if a parcel is marked delivered but you have not received it, please contact us and we’ll start an enquiry.
Cancellation, returns & refunds (your legal rights)

For online purchases, consumers normally have a 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations during which they may cancel an order and receive a refund (the 14 days starts the day after you receive the goods). When you cancel you generally have another 14 days to return the goods. We will refund within 14 days of receiving the goods back or receiving proof of return. (There are limited, specified legal exemptions — see below.)

Our returns policy for food: because ube powder is a non-perishable, sealed food product, you can cancel and return within your statutory right provided the product is returned unopened, in saleable condition and in its original packaging. If the hygiene seal has been opened, we reserve the right to refuse a return unless the product is faulty. (This aligns with statutory rules on sealed hygiene items and food returns practice — always make the product page clear.)

Faulty or not as described: you have statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act if goods are faulty, not as described, or do not meet the standards expected. If a product is faulty we will refund or replace it. (See our Faulty Goods procedure below.)
How to return an item

Email hello@ubeba.co.uk with your order number and reason for return.

We will provide the returns address and return instructions.

Pack the item securely (we recommend tracked returns for your protection). You are responsible for return postage unless the item is faulty or we arranged the return.

Refunds will be processed to the original payment method once we receive and inspect the return (or sooner if the carrier provides proof of return).
Refunds & timeframes

Refunds for cancelled orders (within your statutory rights) or faulty items will be issued within 14 days of us receiving the returned goods (or evidence of their return) unless we agree otherwise.

If you cancel within the 14-day cooling off period before receiving the goods, we will refund you within 14 days of receiving your cancellation notice; we may withhold a refund until we receive the goods back or evidence of return.
Refunds & timeframes

If you are returning goods because they are faulty, damaged, or not as described, we will refund the full cost of the item and the cost of return postage.

If you are returning goods under the 14-day change-of-mind right, you are responsible for the cost of return postage unless otherwise stated.

For larger or wholesale orders please contact hello@ubeba.co.uk. Dispatch, carriage costs and lead times may differ; we will confirm these in writing.
